Mr Site interviews Sarah Poulton

Creator of Paper-and-String.co.uk

"Mr Site made the process easy and with a few hours of computer time I had my own website and my own on-line shop..." Sarah Poulton Sarah has always been crafty. She started off as a child cutting out paper dolls and making ‘play-doh' food. She is based in the seaside town of Worthing, West Sussex, UK. She manages a shop for her 'normal' job and her evenings and weekends are spent on paper-and-string things. She designs everything she makes and hand cuts and hand sews all the pieces herself. She only ever uses wool felt, which is soft and smooth and comes in a lovely range of colours. The fabrics she uses are original vintage finds or beautiful brand new designs. She embellishes her creations with braids, beads and buttons; some are vintage, some are new, all are gorgeous. She uses a lot of ribbon and ric-rac. She also designs and makes all her packaging, using good quality patterned card and stationary printed on her home computer.

"Building my own website was a leap into the unknown...I design, sew & create with fabric and felt... but a website? I simply had no idea how it would work or if I could work it. Mr Site made the process easy and with a few hours of computer time I had my own website and my own on-line shop, attracting customers from all over the world! I am continually updating and expanding my paper-and-string product line and my Mr Site website grows and changes with me. I don't hesitate to recommend Mr Site...I'm so glad to have found it myself." Sarah Poulton
